Model UNESCO Conference

The "Model United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization" conference is an experiential education activity where participants assume the role of member state representatives of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization and simulate the conference assembly held within the organization.

Students who participate in the simulation will gain a deep understanding of international issues, with a focus on the "United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs)" and how to communicate and negotiate with others to achieve a more sustainable future. The purpose of the activity is to cultivate interdisciplinary skills in students through experiential learning, independent research, on-site speeches, debates, and other forms of activities, including negotiation skills, systematic thinking, critical thinking, adaptability, comprehensive problem-solving skills, and strategic planning skills, to establish a deep understanding and application of the sustainable development goals. During the activity, participating students need to seek solutions to various international challenges through communications, negotiations, discussions, and debates, such as human rights issues, economic development, environmental protection, and war and peace.
